Plus the 2015-2016 Corvette Z06 sports extensive use of carbon fiber throughout the Z06 specific body panels, and aerodynamic aids. So when it came time for engineers at K&N Filters to design a performance air intake system for the 2015-2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 6.2L supercharged V8, the usual mandrel-bent aluminum, or roto-molded HDPE intake tube just wouldn’t do this car justice.

That’s why the K&N performance air intake, number 63-3090, for 2015-2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 models takes advantage of the lightweight and stellar looks of a fully carbon fiber air intake tube. The 2015-2016 Z06 carbon intake tube even has a provision for the factory mass airflow sensor molded into it. The use of carbon fiber in this K&N air intake system doesn’t end with the tube. The oval-tapered high-flow performance K&N air filter is finished off with a carbon fiber top plate holding the legendary K&N pleated oiled cotton media between the fully carbon fiber air filter base and flange.
